Speaking at a Betfair event, the former Madrid winger addressed the uphill battle following the first leg defeat at the Bernabéu, but pointed to the club’s history in the competition as reason for optimism.

“Without a doubt, it’s a tough tie, and 1-2 is a difficult result to overturn,” Figo said. “But if there’s a team with the greatness and quality to do it, it’s Real Madrid. Despite the result in the first leg, I believe they can reach the semifinals.

” Figo stressed that efficiency in front of goal will be decisive in Munich, especially given the need to chase the game away from home. He highlighted Vinícius Jr. and Kylian Mbappé as key figures who could tilt the tie in Madrid’s favor.

“In a match like this, being clinical is essential,” he explained. “If Vinícius and Mbappé are effective, it will be much easier to get a positive result. But it’s just as important to manage Bayern’s attacking strength—to avoid suffering too much and take control of the game as early as possible.
