New England has Drake Maye as its starting quarterback, and although the team re-signed Tommy DeVito as the backup, the Patriots could draft another quarterback. Ahead of the draft, Texas Tech Red Raiders quarterback Behren Morton spoke to Justin Melo of SI and revealed he met with the Patriots. “It’s been a fun, busy process,” Morton said in an interview published on Sunday.
“It’s a good problem to have. … I also recently got back from a bunch of Top 30 visits. I visited the Green Bay Packers, Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots, and the Jets as well.
It’s been a fun process. I saw some incredible facilities and met some incredible coaches. ” Morton revealed he’s also met with the Las Vegas Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts, and Dallas Cowboys in the lead-up to the draft.
