Both teams graduated from EFL League One to the Championship last season but are competing at different ends of England’s second tier this year. However, Carlos Vicente and captain Christoph Klarer’s exceptional performance almost killed Wrexham’s chances of qualifying for the playoffs.
Wrexham is now in the seventh spot, four points behind Hull City A. F. C.
