Coach Danny Sprinkle and the Washington Huskies secured their first transfer portal addition of the offseason late Sunday night. Former Davidson starting guard Parker Friedrichsen, a 6-foot-4 junior from Bixby, Oklahoma, announced his transfer to UW, marking a victory for the Huskies and Sprinkle, who reportedly beat out Kansas State for the veteran guard. Friedrichsen began his career at Wake Forest in 2023-24 and made six starts (66 total appearances) for the Deacons before getting an expanded role this past season at Davidson.

โA highly skilled guard, Friedrichsen is an excellent three-point shooter, but more versatile scoring threat than he gets credit for,โ 247Sportsโ Director of Scouting Adam Finkelstein wrote in an evaluation of the Oklahoma native. โHe can come off pin-downs and staggers, make shots off the dribble, and deep threes as well. Heโs also a threat in the mid-range area with a good knack for creating space and a natural fade on his release that helps him get it off.
