Falcons had virtual meeting with Georgia RB Cash Jones ahead of 2026 NFL Draft

The Atlanta Falcons are working through their final pre-draft visits as we are now just 10 days away from the 2026 NFL Draft. Unlike in recent years, we've seen this team meet with several local prospects, including those from the University of Georgia. The Falcons previously met with Georgia defensive tackle Christen Miller and wide receiver Zachariah Branch, but another Bulldogs player recently spoke with the team.

In an interview with SI's Justin Melo , Georgia running back Cash Jones said he had a virtual meeting with the Falcons. "I’ve spoken with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Falcons, Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers, Tennessee Titans via virtual meetings," Jones told Melo. "We’ve had some good conversations.

" Jones is considered a Day 3 prospect and the Falcons currently have three picks in Rounds 4-7. The former Bulldog has done most of his damage as a receiver, operating primarily as a third-down/change-of-pace back. Over the last two seasons, Jones has recorded 44 receptions for 470 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

He could be an option in the sixth or seventh round for Atlanta. While the team did sign veteran Brian Robinson Jr. to replace Tyler Allgeier in free agency, there's definitely a role for a pass-catching specialist in Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski's offense.
