Patriots host second quarterback prospect on pre-draft visit

The Patriots are taking an up-close look at Texas A&M QB Behren Morton.

After previously hosting Kansas’ Jalon Daniels on a visit, another passer recently revealed that he had been to the Patriots’ Gillette Stadium facility.

Behren Morton out of Texas A&M is the second QB to hold a 30 visit with the Patriots , as well as the 21st reported player overall. “I visited the Green Bay Packers, Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots, and the Jets as well. It’s been a fun process,” Morton told Justin Melo of Sports Illustrated.

“I saw some incredible facilities and met some incredible coaches. ” Projected as a late-round selection or possible free agent, Morton is entering the NFL after spending five seasons with the Aggies. During that time, the 6-foot-2, 221-pounder saw action in 45 games with 36 starts.

He completed 62. 8% of his pass attempts for 8,986 yards with 71 touchdowns and 28 interceptions, while also scoring seven rushing TDs. The 24-year-old also was voted a team captain each of his last two seasons in College Station, and three times was named an honorable All-Big 12 mention.
