Max Eberl won’t get caught looking at the past as Bayern Munich preps for Real Madrid

FC Bayern just wants to look forward — not back — against Real Madrid.

The whistle never blew and — it seemed — that the Bavarians were robbed of a chance to hold a two-goal advantage heading back home to the Allianz Arena for the second leg of the tie.

While fans wanted to slam the “conspiracy theory button”, Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl does not want to dwell on the past and, in fact, did not fault the referee (Michael Oliver) for the lack of a call on the play. “We won at the Bernabéu for the first time in over 20 years — that’s enough for me. Yes, that could be whistled.

But overall, I thought the referee did a very, very good job,” Eberl said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia ). Obviously, Eberl does want not want to stir anything up ahead of leg two. What did you think?
