The New York Yankees have been labeled as having a great rotation, a solid bullpen, and incredible bats to start the 2026 season.

In all three major areas of the game, this team has been excellent. But lately, one of those areas has been seriously lacking, and now the sole leader of this team is speaking up to try to make sense of it. The Bronx Bombers have been anything but over their last five games, which have all resulted in losses.

Over the 0-5 stretch, the Yankees have been outscored 13-18, but it hasn't even felt that close. Aaron Judge spoke to the media following the series-sweeping loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday and gave his thoughts on the offensive woes . โ€œWe need to simplify some things at the plate,โ€ Judge said.

As a group, if we simplify our approach a little bit, hunt the pitch that weโ€™re looking for and pass the baton, I think weโ€™ll be in a better spot. โ€ That also has to start with himself, as during this five-game losing streak, Judge went 3-17, with the two-run home run on Sunday in the 5-4 loss to Tampa being the main highlight of the week.
