P-Bruins win MacGregor Kilpatrick Trophy with 1-0 victory against Springfield
PROVIDENCE, R. I. (WPRI) — For the fourth time in franchise history, the Providence Bruins secured the MacGregor Kilpatrick Trophy in a 1-0 victory against Springfield Sunday afternoon.
Forward Riley Tufte scored the game-winning goal with 8:31 left in the third period to give the the team an AHL record 54th win of the year. . @AHLBruins with a chance to make a little history today.
A win will set AHL record for most wins in a 72-game season. Puck drop against Springfield is set for 3 p. m.
