Texas lands commitment from former TCU standout David Punch out of transfer portal
Punch will join Sean Miller's program after leading the Horned Frogs in points, rebounds and blocks last season.

He put together a strong sophomore season for the Horned Frogs, playing in and starting 34 games en route to earning an All-Big 12 honorable mention selection. The 6-foot-7 Harker Heights, Texas native led the Frogs to an NCAA Tournament in during his sophomore campaign as he posted 16 points and 13 rebounds in a thrilling win over Ohio State . He was one of the top big men in the portal and figures to be a centerpiece for the Longhorns next year.
