Virginia Tech basketball: Oklahoma F Kuol Atak commits to Hokies
An impressive addition for Mike Young and the Hokies.

The Virginia Tech Hokies have seen seven players enter the portal, but only one has found a new home. Freshman backup center Antonio Dorn recently committed to Wake Forest. While there was so much focus on the players entering the portal, three notable names did not enter and have all announced their returns: sophomore point guard Ben Hammond, junior forward Amani Hansberry and sophomore guard Tyler Johnson.
Now, the Hokies have added their first outside commitment: Oklahoma forward Kuol Atak. Atak is a 6-foot-9, 192-pound forward from Fort Worth, Texas, and he has three years of eligibility remaining. As a freshman for the Sooners last season, Atak averaged only 12 minutes per game but still averaged 7 points per game.
