Apparently, at least one report indicates that the injury problem hasn't gone away with the New York Mets . This is what On SI's Pat Ragazzo reported on Sunday night: "Scouts who have watched Bichette don't think he looks fully healthy when running the bases and believe he's still nursing the PCL sprain in his left knee from late last season. " Ragazzo goes on to write that Bichette's sprint speed is down from last regular season.

Bichette missed most of September last season with his PCL sprain. He returned in the postseason for Toronto and played some second base as well as some time at DH. MORE: Jazz Chisholm didn't even know rules as he messed up ending of Yankees' game The Mets signed Bichette not to return to shortstop but instead to play third base.

He's actually graded out decently at his new position, and his bat has heated up after a 2-for-22 start. If Bichette can't run well, so be it. The Mets signed him for his bat, not his legs.
