The Los Angeles Angels sent No. 4 prospect George Klassen back to Triple-A ahead of Sunday’s win against the Cincinnati Reds. In a corresponding move, they selected the contract of right-hander Nick Sandlin from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Klassen made two appearances for the Angels this season before his reassignment, and didn’t impress enough to warrant a spot on the Halos’ MLB roster. He pitched just 4. 2 innings across his two starts, allowing six earned runs and walking 10 batters.
He walked five batters in each of his starts, and left his second start of the season after just two innings pitched due to an issue with his fingernail.
