Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton offers a behind-the-scenes look at Jesse Minter's hiring, calling it a 'shoe-in' once stars aligned.

Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton offered a behind-the-scenes perspective on the hiring of head coach Jesse Minter, describing a process where internal alignment and outside feedback helped the move come together once momentum built. “I don’t want to discredit the process that ‘EDC’ [executive vice president and general manager Eric DeCosta] and [owner] Mr. [Steve] Bisciotti and [president] Sashi [Brown], all those guys were going through and determining our next head coach.

But I think when the stars aligned, it kind of seemed like a shoe-in. And he’s been here before. He’s a defensive guy, and it would be very un-Ravens-like to veer away from the norm that much to kind of just blow it all up and just create a whole new philosophy, which, I mean, makes sense to me.

So, it’s new, but it’s not. ” Hamilton also pointed to feedback from players with prior ties to Minter in Los Angeles. “Cam [Hart] texted me and was just like, ‘I think you guys will fit very well with him.

’ [There are] no egos at all, he’s very humble, very smart and doesn’t point the finger. And I think that’s somebody we all wanted and needed. And I think guys are really excited.
