Dodgers Fail to Sweep Rangers, Lose Final Game of Series

The Los Angeles Dodgers lost the final game of their series to the Texas Rangers, though managed to win the set to start their homestand. The Dodgers took hard-fought wins in the first two games of the series, winning the first game with a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth and the second game in a closely contested 6-3 match. Roki Sasaki made his third start of the season for the Dodgers on Sunday, pitching four innings and allowing two runs on five hits and five walks.

Evan Carter hit a solo homer to kick off the inning, and a Josh Smith single scored their second run of the game after a single and a walk.

The Rangers extended their lead in the sixth inning, when a groundout scored Josh Jung, who advanced to third after an errant throw from Dodgers reliever Edgardo Henriquez.
