The Flyers could do so as early as Monday with a win against the Carolina Hurricanes. However, a Blue Jackets win against the Bruins would stop that from happening. If Columbus wins, it pushes the Flyers’ clinching scenario to Tuesday’s Game 82 against the Montreal Canadiens.
That said, there is bad news for Philadelphia and its faithful. The Bruins are holding four players out of their lineup. Bruins’ head coach Marco Strum is keeping Victor Arvidsson, Hampus Lindholm, Pavel Zacha, and Charlie McAvoy out of the lineup against the Blue Jackets.
