After feeling the force of an elbow in the face in the Girona penalty area, Mbappé went to ground in evident discomfort, with blood streaming from his brow. While this should probably not cause Mbappé to miss the Champions League match vs Bayern Munich on Wednesday, it is noteworthy given the implications of a head injury in the modern game.
