Alabama is set to be among the SEC's top teams once again in 2026-27. Here is where the Crimson Tide stand in the early SEC basketball power rankings.

The anticipation is already starting to build surrounding the 2026-27 college basketball season. Once again, the SEC appears on their way to be one of college basketball's premier conferences in 2026-27, with a few teams in particular looking like potential national championships contenders. Many of these made deep runs in the NCAA Tournament this past season, with some of those same teams reaching at-least the Sweet 16.

15. Mississippi State Bulldogs Mississippi State (13-19, 5-13) missed the NCAA Tournament last season for the first time under head coach Chris Jans, while the Bulldogs' losing record was also their first since the 2015-16 campaign. The Bulldogs now enter an important offseason for the program, one which certainly needs a bounce back 2026-27 campaign.
