Genius player will replace Andy Robertson at Liverpool is coming to the end of his time at Liverpool and the Reds have the perfect player lined-up to replace him. It's a sad era, the Scotsman follows Mo Salah's path in leaving Anfield for pastures new this summer. Robertson’s future was basically laid out by how the club handled January.

Liverpool were clearly willing to let him go to Tottenham, which said about how much faith they had in him. The only reason the move didn’t go through was down to injuries stacking up and the fact they couldn’t get Kostas Tsimikas back fit in time, so they ended up keeping Robertson by necessity more than anything. If they truly saw him as part of the future, they wouldn’t have even entertained the idea of selling him.

Now, it has become official that Robertson won't be renewing his deal. He won’t be short of options this summer. A player with his experience and quality will have clubs lining up, and honestly, he can probably aim higher than Spurs as things stand.

Atlético Madrid have been mentioned before, and there’s always the possibility of a return to Celtic. From Liverpool’s point of view, though, replacing him won’t be straightforward, especially when Tsimikas doesn’t seem like a long-term solution either. If Tsimikas goes, Liverpool will have just one left-back remaining in Milos Kerkez.
