"Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today the club loaned forward Cameron Hughes to the Texas Stars, Dallas' primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League," the official news release stated. Hughes, 29, appeared in only three games this season with the Stars in the NHL, scoring one goal. He also has 63 appearances in the AHL, where he has recorded 16 goals and 50 assists for a total of 66 points.
Cameron Hughes returns to Texas Stars as AHL playoffs approach Hughes was called up for the first time on March 30 and made his debut on March 31 against Boston. The Texas Stars have clinched a playoff berth in the AHL, and Hughes is expected to continue being a key part of the team in the postseason. He has also played for the Providence Bruins, the Coachella Valley Firebirds, and the Texas Stars, and has played only two games with the Boston Bruins .
The official news release announcing his return to the Stars' affiliate also notes that the forward "participated in the AHL All-Star Classic for the first time in February in Rockford. Hughes has 20 multi-point games this season, seven different three-point games, and a four-point game (1-3--4) on Feb. 28 vs.
