Former Bruin Monique Billings joins Caitlin Clark on the Indiana Fever
One of the best players in UCLA women's basketball history, Monique Billings, signed a multi-year deal with the Indiana Fever in WNBA free agency.
A few days before a whole new crop of UCLA Bruins enter the WNBA , one former Bruin switched teams. Forward Monique Billings is once again leaving California, signing with the Indiana Fever after one season with the Golden State Valkyries . Billings was acquired in the expansion draft by the Valkyries last season, putting up 7.
3 points and 4. 5 rebounds over 26 games. The Fever handed Billings a multi-year deal according to Chloe Peterson of IndyStarSports.
Indiana will be Billings’ fifth WNBA team since being drafted in the second round of the 2018 draft out of UCLA . Billings was a remarkable player at UCLA, being the program’s leading rebounder and second in career blocks. Billings also will join the Fever already having played alongside some of the team’s stars.
Through FIBA and Unrivaled, Billings has played alongside new teammates Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell. Monique Billings is signing with the Fever on a multi-year deal, sources confirm to IndyStar. She comes to IND from Golden State.
