Aireontae Ersery is ready to see the new-looked Houston Texans offensive line in action. Ersery, the second-year left tackle in Houston, recently spoke about the revamped Texans' offense entering 2026 at the Rockets' game on Friday night. Since last season, Houston elected to re-sign right guard Ed Ingram and right tackle Trent Brown after promising work amid a 12-win campaign.

But the Texans weren't done. They targeted right tackle Braden Smith from the Indianapolis Colts on a two-year deal to shore up the right side of the line. A week later, three-time Pro Bowler Wyatt Teller from Cleveland agreed to terms on a two-year deal to start at left guard.

The moves might be massive on paper, but everything is about consistency on the field, something Ersey expects to see with his new teammates no later than Week 1. "We're mixing with the guys that came in; they're a good group of guys," Ersery said. "They're a great group of men.

They're very talented. I can't wait to see what they do this season. " Last season, Houston struggled to produce an efficient run game, which seemed to be a priority for general manager Nick Caserio and head coach DeMeco Ryans this offseason.

Smith and Teller both were regarded as two of the better run-blocking linemen over the years, while Ingram came in as the top run blocker for Houston a season ago. Ersery, who was a promising lineman in Year 1, will need to improve, but he's ready for the added expectations to come with now better help on the opposing side for 2026 and beyond.
