Johnny Manziel admits chasing women was more important than football
Johnny Manziel says his partying days were more fun than playing football.
Back in 2012, Johnny Manziel was the hottest name in college football. He had beaten the eventual national champions, Alabama, at home in Tuscaloosa, and he was the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy. He went from Johnny Manziel to โJohnny Football,โ and many felt at the time that his star would only grow in the NFL.
But instead, scandal after scandal followed the young star. First, he admitted to receiving illegal payments for autographs, and then his draft stock would drop him to the Cleveland Browns . Then there were the drugs and the women who followed.
It appeared that Manziel loved being a celebrity and chasing women more than being a football player. His partying and womanizing became legendary and were bigger than his pro career. โI had a lot more fun going into a nightclub, walking out with two girls, than I did putting the pads on, going & grinding,โ Manziel said.
WILD: Johnny Manziel could have been one of the all-time great quarterbacks if he cared about football as he cared about girls. โI had a lot more fun going into a nightclub, walking out with two girls, than I did putting the pads on, going & grindingโ pic. twitter.
