That was a true problem even in the offseason, and it ended up being a bit of a surprise that they didn't trade one then. Now, though, it's even more obvious: They need to trade someone, and it probably should be Jarren Duran. Boston has five outfielders that deserve at least some playing time: Duran, Roman Anthony, Wilyer Abreu, Ceddanne Rafaela and Masataka Yoshida.
Rafaela is by far the most clear centerfielder, so he's pretty much safe here. One guy can be the DH most of the time, so that even allows four in the lineup. But five?
That seems a bit tough to manage. Sure, you can figure that injuries will come and the depth will be useful. But that's an odd thing to bet on while possessing players that could fetch help at other spots.
