Chaz Coleman's status at Tennessee detailed by Josh Heupel after the Orange & White Game.

Tennessee concluded spring football practices Saturday with its annual Orange & White Game at Neyland Stadium. 48,000 were in attendance for the Vols' 15th and final spring practice. Following the Orange & White Game, sixth-year head coach Josh Heupel discussed the status of sophomore defensive lineman Chaz Coleman .

"Ultimately, Chaz is dealing with some things off the field, and he's got to handle that and go through that process," Heupel said. "We're here to help and support him in all those ways, and we'll continue to do that, but that's ultimately the beginning of his journey right now, and there's some things he has to work with. " The 6-foot-4, 250-pound defensive lineman transferred to the Vols in January from Penn State .

He appeared in five games for the Nittany Lions in 2025 as a freshman. Coleman recorded eight tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and one pass deflection.
