An NFL veteran who played 14 years in the league with six different teams was arrested in Texas on the eve of his 3rd game as head coach in the UFL.

Ted Ginn Jr. , who spent seven NFL seasons with the Dolphins, 49ers, Panthers, Cardinals, Saints, and Bears as a wide receiver/specialist, was arrested in Tarrant County, Texas, for driving under the influence.
He was later released on a $1,000 bond. Ginn, who just turned 41, was hired to be the head coach of the Columbus Aviators in 2025. The Aviators are scheduled to face the Dallas Renegades on Sunday.
โWe are aware of an incident involving Head Coach Ted Ginn Jr. over the weekend and are in the process of gathering more information,โ UFL president & CEO Russ Brandon told WSYX. โOffensive coordinator Todd Haley will handle the head coaching duties for the Aviators game on Sunday.
โ Ginn Jr. was the ninth overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft after starring at wide receiver at Ohio State. Currently, the Columbus Aviators are 0-2.
