Justin Rose has once again played his way into a strong position to win The Masters on Sunday at Augusta National. Rose made a six-under-par 66 in the final round last year to tie Rory McIlroy at -11 before losing in a playoff hole.

Instead, the Northern Irishman struggled with pulled and pushed shots throughout the round and could only shoot a 73 (+1). He remains co-leader of the tournament, but his vulnerability has given Rose and the chasing pack more hope. However, Rose insisted in his post-round interview that McIlroy’s woes did not “change anything” about his approach.

“I just know it’s all to play for,” he said. “It wouldn’t really change anything anyway, to be honest with you. “I felt like there were enough good players at 10, 11, and guys were getting into double digits.
