Disgusted golf fans react to what one patron shouted to Rory McIlroy at The Masters on day three

McIlroy obviously still has a great chance of winning The Masters for the second time, but he will definitely be questioning himself now. The 29-year-old from Holywood, Northern Ireland, won in dramatic style at Augusta National 12 months ago, after giving up a big lead on the back nine on Sunday.

So McIlroy certainly has the experience to deal with anything that comes his way during the final round of The Masters . McIlroy insists he will play with more freedom on Sunday at The Masters , but he will obviously be feeling the pressure, having already lost the biggest 36 hole lead ever established at Augusta. However, golf fans witnessed something incredibly unusual happen on Saturday at The Masters which was really not in keeping with Augusta’s traditions. As McIlroy hit his drive on the 17th hole at Augusta National on Saturday, one of the patrons shouted out: ‘Give me my son back’ – a reference from Mel Gibson’s movie, Ransom. It was a real shock to hear that kind of behavior at Augusta National and whoever it was who shouted that out will undoubtedly be dealt with accordingly.
