Hudson softball's hot streak continues with big win over Firestone
Hudson's softball team won 26-4 with 28 hits against Akron Firestone.
Hudsonโs softball team continues to have a hot streak at the plate. Behind 28 hits, the Explorers beat a youthful Akron Firestone squad 26-4 in five innings to move to 3-1 overall. Senior Bailey Deutsch was on fire in the non-league home game on April 2.
She went 4-for-5 at the dish with four runs batted in (RBI), three runs, a double and a stolen base. Freshman hurler Laine Borovicka earned her first varsity win for the Expolorers. Borovicka tossed 1.
1 innings and struck out three batters while allowing one hit and one earned run. โOur pitching is off to a great start,โ said head coach Victoria Eder. โClaire Eland is coming back for her junior season and is ready to go.
Laine Borovicka is making a big contribution to our program as a freshman. We are looking forward to seeing what these athletes are going to do this season. โ Eland pitched and also had a big day with her bat as she went 3-for-3 with two RBI, plus she hit a triple and a double.
