New York Giants land 'surprise' defender in latest CBS Sports mock draft
In the latest CBS Sports mock draft, the New York Giants pass on commonly projected prospects in favor of a "surprise" defender.
Will the New York Giants find LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane to be the best prospect available with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft? The Giants have been heavily linked to several top prospects in pre-draft projections, such as Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate and Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love.

He allowed the lowest passer rating (24. 1) in the SEC, didn't allow a single touchdown in coverage and had zero penalties. I have questions about some of the biggest names in this class, but not Delane.
