Iowa women's basketball picked up its first impact player out of the transfer portal, landing first-team All-SEC guard Dani Carnegie.

Iowa women's basketball is on the board during transfer portal season, landing a major commitment from former Georgia guard Dani Carnegie. The former Bulldog was a first-team All-SEC selection last season as Carnegie averaged 17. 8 points per game on 42.

7% field goal shooting, 35. 4% from 3-point range, and 83. 3% from the free-throw line.

During her freshman season at Georgia Tech, Carnegie played alongside current Iowa guard Chit-Chat Wright and for now-Iowa assistant coach LaSondra Barrett. Carnegie was the ACC Sixth Player of the Year that season with the Yellow Jackets and an All-ACC Freshman Team choice. The 5-foot-9 guard averaged 12.
