UFC 327 on Saturday marked the final fight of Swanson’s incredible career, which spans 45 fights dating back to 2004.
Swanson authored countless memorable moments competing for UFC and WEC, flirting with title contender status on more than one occasion, and earned eight Fight of the Night awards competing inside the octagon. Swanson closed out his career on the highest possible note with a first-round knockout of Nate Landwehr, battering his fellow veteran for almost the entirety of their contest before finishing with a signature flurry. He immediately removed his gloves afterward, took his last post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, and enjoyed a video tribute alongside his family.
The 42-year-old walks away from the game with a record of 31-14, with a 16-10 UFC mark. Pros were unanimously effusive in their praise for Swanson, check out their reactions from social media below. Wow what an amazing way to go out for Cub.
