UFC 327 Highlights! Luque Shocks Gastelum With Signature Choke

, stopping veteran Kelvin Gastelum with a nasty first-round submission (D’Arce choke). Gastelum, who came into Saturday night as a betting favorite, looked good in the early going. He offered quick counters and was even able to lock up a brief takedown along the cage.
Luque, however, is as tough as they come. The former welterweight contender was firing off leg kicks and forced Gastelum to mind his P’s and Q’s in close. Eventually, Luque was able to find a home for a slick uppercut that caught Gastelum flush and knocked him to the canvas.
Gastelum has never been knocked out in his entire pro career, but that didn’t stop Luque from firing off heavy ground-and-pound. Gastelum was able to defend nicely and regain most of his composure only to have Luque lock up a tight D’Arce choke. Gastelum fought for a few moments, but once Luque leaned back he was able to really apply the pressure and forced the tap.
