(Photo by Richard Pelham/Getty Images for Netflix) | Getty Images for Netflix Tyson Fury ended his latest “retirement” with a clear and wide decision win over Arslanbek Makhmudov today in London, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The 37-year-old Fury improved to 35-2-1 (24 KO) with a 12-round victory on scores of 119-109, 120-108, and 120-108.

Makhmudov (21-3, 19 KO) never presented all that much of a challenge other than being large and physically strong, which was about what was expected from those who knew the histories of both fighters. But it was a fight where Fury was able to shake off some rust, get himself active, and potentially set up something bigger. He and Turki Alalshikh attempted to railroad Anthony Joshua and Eddie Hearn immediately after the fight, which failed, but that seems like it will be what’s next if the money is right on both sides.
