The Detroit Red Wings need one point against the Devils tonight or they're officially eliminated from the playoffs for the 10th consecutive season. Detroit has 91 points with three games left and need to win all three games to have even a chance of catching the Ottawa Senators or Boston Bruins, who have 96 points. The Senators won Saturday afternoon, 3-0, against the New York Islanders and the Bruins lost at home, 2-1, against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Who do the Senators and Bruins have left to play? Ottawa and Boston each have 96 points and would have to lose their last two games for the Red Wings to have even a chance to make the playoffs. If Detroit ties Ottawa in the standings, the Senators get into the playoffs with more regulation wins.
