Former Georgia Bulldogs basketball recruiting target Jizzle James, son of NFL running back Edgerrin James, is in the transfer portal

Former Georgia Bulldogs basketball recruiting target Jizzle James has entered the NCAA transfer portal. James spent the first three seasons of his college basketball career with the Cincinnati Bearcats in the Big 12. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound point guard has one season of eligibility left.

James is coming off a strong season with Cincinnati where he posted 10. 9 points, 2. 2 rebounds, 2.

1 assists and 0. 7 steals per game. He appeared in 23 games for the Bearcats including 21 starts.

He connected on over 44% of his three-point attempts in 2025-26, which was a career-high. James is the son of NFL running back Edgerrin James. James was one of Georgia basketball head coach Mike White's first recruiting targets.
