The Shark thought he’d scored a hat-trick as well but saw another goal confusingly ruled out for an offside by Eric Garcia in the second half.
Ferran celebrated his two goals in style, making a chatting gesture with both hands and then facing the cameras and pointing at the big smile on his face. Asked about his celebration afterwards, Ferran admitted it was a message to his haters. “There’s always external noise around me, more often negative than positive, it p*sses them off, but I’m always focused on myself, on working and improving; sometimes things don’t go as planned, but it’s not for lack of effort,” he told DAZN.
“It’s clear that a striker is always judged by goals. I hadn’t scored in a while. I always believe in hard work and that it pays off.
” Torres also spoke about the title race, warning it’s not over yet, but admitting that Barcelona are now in a great position. “It’s not over until we win it. But it does depend on us,” he added.
