Dolphins hosted All-SEC defender for visit before 2026 NFL draft
The Miami Dolphins have only lost on interior defensive lineman this offseason, but that shouldn't stop them from trying to upgrade the room.
The Miami Dolphins had two defensive linemen set to hit the market this offseason, but after they re-signed Matthew Butler, Benito Jones was the only one to become a free agent. With Jones' departure, the Dolphins must find someone to take his spot on the roster, and that player could come from the 2026 NFL draft. Among Miami's options in the three-day selection meeting is Georgia defensive lineman Christen Miller, and according to KPRC2's Aaron Wilson, the 21-year-old has a scheduled visit with the Dolphins.
Miller was a four-star recruit at Cedar Grove High School in Ellenwood, Georgia, before committing to play for the Bulldogs starting in 2022. While at Georgia, he earned All-SEC once. In four seasons, Miller appeared in 43 games and recorded 64 tackles, four sacks and one pass defensed for the Bulldogs.
Draft experts project Miller to go in the second round this year, so Miami may be able to select him with pick No. 43 overall and address bigger needs with their pair of first-round picks.
