LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — I am Maximus won the Grand National for the second time in three years at Aintree racecourse on Saturday. The 10-year-old, which won the showpiece race in 2024 and was runner-up last year, was a 9-2 favorite and ridden by jockey Paul Townend. It finished ahead of Iroko, Jordans, Johnnywho and High Class Hero.

For trainer Willie Mullins it was a third straight win in the race and fourth in total, while owner J. P. McManus has now won a record four Grand Nationals.
