Tyson Fury's achieved nearly everything in boxing. He reigned as lineal heavyweight champion for nearly a decade, took on numerous world champions, held all four heavyweight titles and gave future Hall of Famer Oleksandr Usyk his toughest fight to date. But Fury still has his sights on one last run at heavyweight glory, as he returns from a year-long retirement to face twice-beaten contender Arslanbek Makhmudov.
A successful return to the ring could potentially set Fury up for a blockbuster bout against Anthony Joshua later this year, with Saudi Arabian powerbroker Turki Alalshikh having previously teased a clash between the British superstars. Helping him shake off the retirement rust is Makhmudov, an imposing heavyweight contender riding a two-fight win streak in the aftermath of a stoppage defeat to middling contender Guido Vianello in 2024. "I have to fight somebody dangerous to make me want to even train, make me want to even take it seriously," Fury said in February.
"So now I know I've got a dangerous knockout artist in front of me … I'm looking forward to coming here putting on a real show at Tottenham. And most of all, I'm looking forward to punching his face right in. " Follow along below for The Tennessean's live updates throughout the Fury vs.
