John Schneider seems to have ignored that memo. According to an unnamed source quoted by @ Seahawks Forever on X, Schneider made an inquiry into the idea of bringing Myles Garrett to the Seattle Seahawks. It was a "serious inquiry," according to the source.
No deal appears likely, but the phone call is apparently a thing that happened. Thibodeaux also surfaces as a legitimate and cheaper path to Seattle Also, Schneider spoke with the New York Giants organization about trading for their edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux . That's from the same unnamed source mentioned above.
Thibodeaux is described as a "legitimate trade target" for Seattle. According to Ian O'Connor of The Athletic, Giants would "have to trade the edge rusher" should Seattle offer a late second-round or early third-round selection in return. That'd be a small price compared to what they would have to pay for Garrett.
