The UNC basketball team needs a high-level scorer on its 2026-27 roster. Good news: the Tar Heels have a visit lined up for Monday.

The UNC men's basketball team is still riding Monday's high, with longtime Denver Nuggets boss Michael Malone hired as head coach. Thanks to Malone's hiring, North Carolina should be able to land some top-end talent . Malone has a history for developing his NBA players into superstars, most notably 3-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic.

One of the transfer portal's most-coveted guards is coming to Chapel Hill next week. Utah guard Terrence Brown , who averaged 19. 9 points per game in the 2025-26 season, will visit the Tar Heels on Monday.

Brown was a do-it-all guy for the Utes in their 2025-26 season, who won just 10 games during their second season in the Big 12. Brown led Utah in scoring, assists per game (3. 8) and steals per game (1.

4), recorded one double-double and scored in double-figures all but three times. Brown started his career at Fairleigh Dickinson University, joining the program just one season after its historic upset of Purdue. After two seasons in northeastern New Jersey, Brown transferred out west.
