The New York Mets have been in a bit of a rut lately, as they're on a three-game losing streak and have dropped to 7-7 on the season. While things aren't going great, they still have some top-tier talent and should be able to bounce back in the coming days, weeks, and months. To help put these early-season woes behind them, the Mets are making a change.

According to The New York Post's Jon Heyman , the Mets are reportedly calling up Craig Kimbrel, the veteran righty reliever with a career 2. 58 ERA, to join the Mets bullpen for his 17th MLB season, and his 10th team in the big leagues. Mets to call up Craig Kimbrel to MLB roster "Breaking: Craig Kimbrel is coming up to New York to pitch for the Mets," Heyman reported for The New York Post.

Kimbrel is a 37-year-old veteran reliever who's pitched in the Majors since the 2010 season, mainly with the Atlanta Braves . He's also made a pit stop with the Philadelphia Phillies , and now with the Mets call-up, he'll have played for three of the five NL East teams, with only the Washington Nationals and Miami Marlins not on his resume.
