Georgia Bulldogs coach Mike White has led the team to back-to-back NCAA Tournaments and is considered one of the most underpaid coaches in the SEC.

The Georgia Bulldogs have made back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances under head coach Mike White. The problem is Georgia has gotten blowout in back-to-back first-round defeats in their last two March Madness appearances. Despite Georgia's lack of postseason success, White has improved the Georgia program significantly.

The Bulldogs went just 6-26 in the year before hiring White and had not made a NCAA Tournament appearance since 2014-15. "Whiteโ€™s work at Georgia has slipped through the cracks despite leading the Bulldogs to two tournament berths in a row for just the fourth time in program history," wrote USA TODAY's Paul Myerberg . White has led Georgia to three straight 20 win seasons and has helped the Bulldogs remain competitive in the SEC.

Myerberg acknowledges that Georgia needs more March Madness success, but thinks that getting Georgia to the tournament is a big accomplishment. He ranks White as one of the five-most underpaid coaches in the country and the SEC's best bargain. "Given his recent record and the fact his $3.

91 million salary in 2025-26 ranked 11th in the SEC," Myerberg said. "White has been the leagueโ€™s most underpaid coach. " White could receive another raise this offseason.
