Senna Agius expected to take Jack Miller’s Pramac seat in 2027 Yamaha reshuffle

Photo by Gold & Goose Photography/Getty Images Yamaha’s 2027 plans may not provide much relief for Jack Miller, despite expectations that Toprak Razgatlioglu’s move up to the factory team would open the door for him to stay at Pramac. Instead, Senna Agius is emerging as a strong candidate to line up alongside Izan Guevara. Yamaha are already looking ahead to 2027 with a number of big decisions on their plate.

The only rider currently signed beyond next season is Razgatlioglu, and all signs point to Fabio Quartararo moving over to Honda once his contract runs out. While nothing has been confirmed publicly, it’s an open secret around the paddock that Quartararo will be heading to Honda in 2027. In response, Yamaha appear set on bringing in Jorge Martin once his time with Aprilia comes to an end, while also planning for Razgatlioglu to take Alex Rins’ spot when his contract expires.

There had been talk that Razgatlioglu’s move would keep Miller in place at Pramac. However, there are now conflicting reports suggesting he might be overlooked regardless. His background with V4 engines was expected to work in his favour during contract talks, but recent developments indicate that may not be enough.

At the same time, Yamaha are understood to have promised Guevara a step up from their Moto2 squad into the premier class. Adding to the speculation, MOW has reported that Agius is set to join his current Moto2 rival at Pramac as well.

This would mean a completely new lineup for the satellite team, something Yamaha appear ready to back. The changes coming in 2027 could make it an ideal year for teams to bring in fresh talent. With engine sizes dropping from 1,000cc to 850cc and new limits on aerodynamics, experience may count less than usual early on under the revised regulations.
