Watch as Bedroom Wall Turned Into Masterpiece Formula 1 Mural For Young Fan

But one lucky kid recently received the ultimate room upgrade: a stunning, hand-painted mural of a Formula 1 car taking up an entire wall. In a mesmerizing new video from the popular social media account MrMurals , we get to watch the entire transformation from a blank, grey wall into a hyper-realistic tribute to one of motorsport ‘s most iconic teams.

The video begins with the artist prepping the massive wall, laying down a solid base coat of jet-black paint . It is a bold choice for a bedroom, but it quickly becomes apparent why it’s necessary. The black background serves as the perfect canvas for the vibrant colors of the Formula 1 car about to be painted onto it.

Once the base coat is dry, the real magic begins. Using a technique that looks almost like a magic trick, the artist dons a VR headset to project the outline of the car onto the wall, allowing him to quickly and accurately sketch the complex aerodynamic shapes of the ground-effect F1 machine in white paint. A Masterclass in Airbrushing With the outline complete, the artist swaps to an airbrush and begins the painstaking process of bringing the car to life.

The level of detail is absolutely staggering.
