FC Bayern might need another center-back during the summer.

However, the situation could change in the summer and the door could be open as Kim is struggling for game time behind Tah and Upamecano.

Italian clubs are monitoring the defender’s situation. Kim earns a high salary at Bayern. Since the club had signed him for a release clause under his value back in 2023, they ‘loaded up’ a bit on the salary.

It would not be a shock to see Kim push for an exit, but there have been reports that he would be happy to stay in Bavaria. Whatever the case, the pathway to playing time with Bayern Munich is seemingly block for the big South Korean. A change of scenery might not be the worst idea for him.
