No. 9 Florida State softball let a late lead slip away. The Seminoles scored six runs in the top of the seventh inning Friday night but were undone in the final moments, falling 9-8 to Stanford on a walk-off grand slam at Stanford Softball Stadium.

After that, both teamsโ pitchers settled in. The game remained tight through the middle innings, which were interrupted by a 39-minute rain delay. FSU broke through again in the sixth inning using two-out hitting.
