Ex-NFL QB Michael Vick believes future is bright for Titans' Cam Ward

Michael Vick talked to Jim Wyatt, and the former NFL quarterback is a big fan of Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward.

There is an excitement building around the Tennessee Titans as they take the field for Phase One of their offseason voluntary workouts, and from the few glimpses shared by the social media team, it appears that a large portion of the team has bought in. If the Titans are to take a step forward in 2026, quarterback Cam Ward will have to be a significant factor. The unquestioned offensive leader, the young signal-caller improved throughout his rookie season and flashed the potential that made him the first overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Now heading into year two, Ward looks motivated, and his work ethic is something that many would like to emulate. These traits and his performance have won over at least one transformational NFL quarterback: Michael Vick. Vick, now the head coach of Norfolk State, spoke with Jim Wyatt and shared some thoughts on Ward and his future.

"I thought Cam progressed as the season went on last year," Vick said. "I think the biggest thing for Cam is he got a ton of snaps last year, and experience, and that's going to bode well for him in the future. The one thing I can guarantee you is he'll be a lot better in year 2 than he was in year 1.

” After an uneven start to the season, Ward rebounded to start all 17 games in 2025, throwing for 3,169 yards, 15 touchdowns, and seven interceptions, and was one of the league's best quarterbacks down the stretch. Now, with Brian Daboll steering the offense, there is optimism that this was only the beginning.
