Lambiase is taking on the role of Chief Racing Engineer at McLaren, while Andrea Stella will remain as team principal despite having been linked with a move to Ferrari in the past.

According to Planet F1 , there are signs that more departures from the team could be on the horizon.
Paddock rumours have linked Pierre Wache with a potential switch to Ferrari. The speculation suggests Wache might see a move to Maranello as a backup plan if he ends up being blamed for Red Bull’s recent struggles. Who is Pierre Wache and what is his role at Red Bull?
Wache, 51, currently holds the position of technical director at Red Bull. He first joined the team in 2013 as a chief engineer. Since Adrian Newey left in 2025, Wache has overseen the design and production of the RB21 and RB22.
However, there have been previous reports that Max Verstappen doesn’t fully trust Wache, with public criticism directed at the RB21’s performance during the 2025 season. Though his future with Red Bull remains uncertain, Wache has previously been linked to Ferrari. In 2024, it was reported that Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur was interested in reuniting with Wache.
